Presentation
The library of the EEZA is a research library, especialised in Ecology of Arid Zones, , geomorphology and edafology, endangered species and entomology.
It is part of a 90 library network called CSIC Library Network
It was created in 1947, with the foundation of the so called Institute of Climatization and since then It is developing his goal of research support to the scientists of the institution to which it belongs.
Library Stock
The collection of the library of the EEZA, specialized in Ecology of Arid Zones, consist approximately of:
- 7.000 monographies
- More than 800 magazines, more than 100 titles of magazines, of which 100 are alive collections
- 500 maps (topographic, of vegetation, geologic, etc.)
This stock can be consulted in catalogues of the Network of Librarys of CSIC, CIRBIC
Access
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, from 8,30 to 14,30 h.
Who?:
Any person interested in the consultation of our stock can access freely to the library and make use of our services in room and reprographics.
What about the loan?:
It only can remove to documents in loan the personnel from the CSIC (research staff, scholarship holders, labor and administrative personnel).
How to arrive?:
The EEZA is in Almeria, in Carretera de Sacramento s/n (Near Universidad de Almería). The library is in the first plant of the building.
